Argus Constanta profit up to 1.3m euros

Edible oil producer Argus Constanta, the market's second-largest player, logged net profit worth 1.3 million euros in the first half of the year, almost four times higher than in the corresponding period of last year. Still, the results are significantly lower than those registered in the first six months of 2002, when net profit was worth a staggering 4.7 million euros. The company's earnings have posted strong fluctuations in the past few years, because of the sunflower acquisition prices. ZF
