New additions to Whirlpool's product line

Whirlpool Romania became the official importer of Polish home appliances brand Polar, which targets the middle and middle to low-end segment. The American group, which accounted for more than 20% of the market, was selling only two brands in Romania until now, i.e. Whirlpool (middle and high-end segments) and Ignis (low-end). "Polar comes to complete our product range in Romania aimed at those consumers who are most mindful of the price of the durables they buy," Mircea Dobre, Whirlpool Romania general manager said. Under the circumstances, Whirlpool Romania's turnover will go up this year and reach 50 million euros, 30% more than last year, as explained by its official. At the same time, sales will reach 250,000 units. US-based Whirlpool Group is one of the groups that negotiated the takeover of Arctic Gaesti, but the Americans eventually decided to buy Polish producer Polar instead, while Arctic was bought by Turkish group Arcelik.
