UTI teams up with tiriac Holdings

UTI Systems, a company in the UTI Group specialising in IT, communications and security systems, has concluded a partnership with security and protection company SecureIT Force SRL, part of the tiriac Holdings SRL. The contract entails installing KTrack equipment on the cars sold by the auto division of tiriac's group. KTrack is a GPS satellite location and tracking system that can be installed on cars, vehicle or ship fleets, as explained by Mihai Gradinaru, UTI Systems' security systems division manager. Unlike the classical theft protection, KTrack is an active system, capable of transmitting the location of the vehicle in real time within a 10-metre margin and of remotely shutting down the engine of the stolen vehicle. The KTrack equipment is to be installed on brands such as Mercedes, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, Mitsubishi or Chrysler sold by the companies in Ion tiriac's group. The price of the KTrack-enabled vehicles will increase by 1,000 euros on the average. ZF
