Home appliance group Arcelik is planning to relocate its water-heating unit from Bloomberg, Germany to Romania, where the Turkish company holds Arctic Gaesti, according to Turkish central daily Zaman. This move may be part of a restructuring plan at the entire group's level, in an effort to improve the products' cost competitiveness. Restructuring will also entail moving part of production from Austria to Turkey. Arcelik took over Arctic last year, under an 18 million-euro deal. The Turkish company has since broadened Arctic's range of products and launched a $50m investment plan, aimed to increase the plant's production capacity. ZF
