Konica sales should reach 3m euros

The official sales posted by Japan-based Konica on the Romanian market are eight times smaller than they should be. According to the company estimates, Konica holds some 30% of the Romanian film market. Since the market is estimated at 4-5 million rolls of film by the main players, Konica should be selling some 1.2-1.5 million films, namely 2.4-3 million euros (as one roll of film is worth about 2 euros). However, the sales posted last year by Photo Trade Romania (authorised Konica dealer on the Romanian market) merely amounted to 350,000 euros, because of illegal imports. ZF
