"In developing our firm, we haven't followed market requirements, but we've taken into account our lawyers' capabilities, with positive results. (...) At present, only 25% of the firm's revenues come from consulting services, with the remaining fees generated from services that deal in litigation. Nevertheless, we'll expand our consultancy department by recruiting lawyers specialising in financing, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and real estate," stated Cristiana Stoica, a founding partner in the firm.
At present, out of almost 30 lawyers at the firm, less than a third are consultants; however, the firm ultimately intends to employ around 15-20 lawyers who can also provide legal advice services.
The demand for legal services has registered significant growth in recent years, so that most firms have seen significant increases, both in terms of turnover and in the number of lawyers.
"Last year was perhaps the market's best. Our turnover advanced by around 70%. In fact, we plan to generate revenues every year that at least match the previous year's level, and in recent years we've seen growth stand at between 20-25%," says Stoica.
