Dumitru Becsenescu, owner of Antares group, is in negotiations to sell the passenger transport company Antares Transport, while the value of the transaction could revolve around 7m euros, according to ZF estimates. "We are in negotiations with a foreign company that wants to enter the Romanian market, to sell Antares Transport, which operates in domestic passenger transport," said Becsenescu. Antares Transport posts annual turnover worth around 4.5m euros, and has a potential to grow over the next few years. Although there have so far been no such deals on the passenger transport market, on the courier market, which also operates with vehicle fleets, deals started from a multiple of 1.5 of the turnover. "It is true that international passenger transport companies are facing certain problems, but the domestic transport market is on the rise," specified Becsenescu.
