Vodafone: Budget revenue forecasts should be realistic

Building a clearly-structured budget, based on realistic assumptions regarding the economic progression, a budget that would quickly become effective, as well as having stable fiscal regulations are some of the major expectations that the private sector has from the Romanian state in the current economic context, said Liliana Solomon, Vodafone CEO. The subsidiary of British group Vodafone is one of the top ten largest companies in Romania, with annual turnover worth over 1.1 billion euros. "It is very important for us to have a stable government, a well-defined and well-understood economic strategy. The budget should be built on realistic assumptions, because if tax-derived revenues do not reach the predicted level, the deficit will be even bigger, which is dangerous. The bigger the deficit is, the bigger the need for financing becomes, and now it is more difficult and more expensive to get financing (...)," added Liliana Solomon.
