Iulian Marinica, the new general manager of Bucharest's Fox charcuterie producer, is trying to get the business held by Cornel Vulpe and his son Dan to develop at a more aggressive pace in order to achieve 2010 targets: national distribution, presence in as many modern retail chains as possible and a 25% turnover rise. Marinica says he has recruited new managers, restructured the sales team, dropped unprofitable products and renegotiated contracts with suppliers since taking over executive management of Fox, in June. "We brought on board a new national sales manager and a key account manager, who had both previously worked with me at Caroli. We recruited a new financial manager - a recently introduced position, as well as middle managers and regional sales managers, and we set up a legal department," said Iulian Marinica, 36, who has over the last three months run the business of Fox charcuterie producer. Iulian Marinica coordinated the sales department of Caroli Foods for 12 years.
