Search Corporation, a constructions design and consulting services firm, with turnover worth around 15m euros, will finalise Crystal Tower building in downtown Bucharest by yearend, the first office building in the city with a helipad on its roof. Crystal Tower will be located at the crossroads between Caderea Bastiliei and Iancu de Hunedoara, close to the Government's headquarters. As road transportation is getting increasingly congested in Bucharest, such a solution may prove interesting for domestic executives, as well as for statesmen. Nevertheless, companies have not rushed to rent out space in the building with a lettable area of around 16,000 square metres, raised in the wake of 35m-euro investments. "Search Corporation will occupy five floors (of the 14 floors of the building i.e.) and we're in talks with a medical clinic and a bank for space rental, but we still have offices available. The building will be delivered at the end of the year. As regards the helipad, one of the reasons for having it built is the proximity to the Government, and many statesmen might need a place to land their helicopters," stated Mihaela Draghici, PR officer with Search Corporation.
