A plant manager makes 20 times more than a worker
The gross monthly salary of a plant manager is 23,550 RON (5,750
euros), whereas workers involved in production earn 1,114 RON (270
euros) on average, shows a survey conducted in January by HR and
management consultancy AIMS Human Capital Romania on 98
manufacturing companies that own plants in the North, West, and
centre of Romania.
Thus, the monthly salary of an executive running a production
facility is on average 20 times higher than that of a worker.
The highest salary in production, as reported in the AIMS study,
amounts to 10,000 euros a month. "The lowest monthly salary is the
minimum wage, 600 RON in gross amount, which some companies pay to
entry-level workers or to trainee workers. The biggest salary
reported in the survey is around 40,000 RON in gross amount (around
10,000 euros) and is earned by a general manager who oversees both
Romanian operations and those in other European countries," says
Gynella Parfenie, senior consultant with AIMS Human Capital.
