IBM Romania, the local subsidiary of the world's biggest IT services provider, will continue to recruit this year for junior and specialist IT positions, who will work for international IBM centres in Romania. Currently there are 84 job openings advertised on IBM's website, for Bucharest and Brasov.

"International IBM centres recruited weekly last year, and continue to do so this year, pursuing a well-determined growth plan decided on more than two years ago," says Mihai Tudor, general manager of IBM Romania. Around 90% of the jobs advertised require experience. According to the latest available data, IBM has around 1,500 employees in Romania. The company also has a few junior positions open.

IBM Romania predominantly seeks graduates of the Polytechnic University (Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, Electronics, and Engineering Taught in Modern Languages), as well as graduates of the Academy of Economic Studies - the Economic Cybernetics faculty, and of the University of Bucharest (the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science).
