A dental office takes permanent new investments in modern
equipment and technology. Craciun office of Bucharest was set up by
Gabriel Craciun dentist in 2004. Initial investments revolved
around 20,000 euros, with the cost of the office itself amounting
to 15,000 euros, while the rest of 5,000 euros were invested in
equipment and consumables. The business started with a single
employee. "My profit revolved around 30,000 euros in 2009. I am
making no projection for this year, because we're in a crisis and
I'm considering suspending the operations of the limited liability
company and continue as a sole trader. Too many taxes, no
benefits," Craciun says. Orizont Dental Clinic was founded in 2006
by Dana Alexandra Cutopal, a dentist, and Liviu Cutopal, an
engineer.
At present, the clinic has two locations treating dental
problems and emergencies. It took 25,000 euros to set up the
company. Further investments were made a year later. At the moment
it was opened, the clinic had a single employee, but at present
employs six doctors. The clinic reached turnover worth 80,000 RON
(19,000 euros) in 2009 and, according to the two businesspeople, it
will rise by 50% this year, to 120,000 RON (29,000 euros).
