Calin Fusu, general manager of Neogen, owner of the biggest Internet portal on the Romanian market, says the company's turnover will go beyond the 2008 level this year, after two years which saw losses reach 1m euros. "Investors were quite upset last year, because we lost almost one million euros in 2008 and 2009. Meanwhile, however, things have got better and this year we're set to generate profit of above 1m euros and recoup the past two years' losses," Fusu explains. Neogen last year reached turnover worth around 2m euros, down from the 3m-euro level of 2008. 2008 losses came amid the new acquisitions and expansion expenses, and in 2009 the crisis ate into the business generated by Bestjobs recruiting site, one of the biggest players on the online recruitment market. Recently, Neogen has bought CeeVee.com online platform, through which users can post their CVs and it wants to grow its business with the help of Facebook, Neogen's rival domestically.
