IT&C companies hiring in times of crisis
Companies that hire Romanians to provide services "remotely" for
clients abroad are some of the most active employers on the
Romanian IT&C market.
According to data on recruitment websites such as ejobs.ro or
bestjobs.ro, Oracle, the local subsidiary of one of the world's
leading software producers, has 94 job openings in Bucharest, for
programmers, consultants, and engineers.
The IT&C industry is one of the sectors that hired personnel in
a time of crisis, when companies were preparing for major
restructuring.
Accenture, a company specialising in management consulting,
technology solutions, and outsourcing, is looking to hire 19 in the
financial, accounting, human resources, insurance, and supply
sectors for its BPO (business process outsourcing) centre.
According to statements from Accenture officials, the company wants
to hire 120-150 at its outsourcing centre in the coming
period.
Hewlett-Packard (HP), the largest IT company on the Romanian
market, has 27 jobs available for specialists in client relations
in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
Alcatel-Lucent, one of the world's biggest producers of telecom
equipment, announced in the first few months of the year it would
double its Timişoara team that manages networks of operators such
as British Telecom and Orange Switzerland and Austria. The company
has 11 jobs available in Timişoara and Arad.
