Alcatel Lucent hires another 200 engineers in Timisoara

Alcatel Lucent, one of the world's biggest suppliers of telecom equipment, will hire almost 200 engineers at its research and development centre in Timisoara.
"By the end of the year, we will have almost 200 new employees at the division in charge of mobile telephony technologies," Raoul Ros, general manager of Alcatel Lucent Romania, told ZF.
The personnel increase comes amid a greater involvement of the Timisoara centre in research and development operations of Alcatel Lucent into one of the most spectacular technologies currently developed internationally, which will allow telephony operators to provide mobile Internet at speeds above 100 Mbps - currently available only via fixed networks.
