Bad start for mandatory home insurance

Mandatory home insurance has had a bad start: almost two weeks after its launch, half of companies members of the Disaster Insurance Pool (PAID) are not issuing policies in all the agencies and units as they lack the necessary IT system. ZF has randomly contacted an agency or two from each of the 13 insurers part of PAID, with the intention of sealing an insurance policy. In the case of half of these agencies answers to the question "can I seal a mandatory home insurance policy with you?" were as follows: "the IT system is not functional", "contact us again in several days" or "we don't have the necessary forms". Seven insurers part of PAID, Astra, Generali, City Insurance, Platinum, Credit Europe, ABC Asigurări and Certasig, issue policies on the spot, according to statements by employees of the agencies contacted by ZF. However, each insurer requests different documents. The insurance costs 10 or 20 euros per annum, depending on the materials homes are made from, and the insured sum stands at 10,000 and respectively 20,000 euros per annum.
