Equity funds ended July with yields as high as 13.6%, a peak reached by AI XT Index, taking full advantage of the Bourse's rally of last month and also of investors' improving sentiment about risky placements. AI XT Index, managed by Aviva Investors, is the industry best performer, with a 13.6% yield in the first 7 months, with its portfolio being structured along the BET-XT index that reflects the trend of the 25 most liquid companies, including SIFs. To seize market opportunities, the fund "overexposed itself" to certain stocks of the index structure, thus managing to garner a yield topping the 8% increase of the BET-XT index. Ranking second and third are equity funds BCE Expert, managed by Erste Asset Management, with an 11.96% yield, and Raiffeisen România Acţiuni, managed by Raiffeisen Asset Management, with an 11.1% yield in July. To grow further, the bourse needs more than positive financial reports from listed companies, it needs the economic environment to improve.
