Plaza makes room for "children's hypermarket" inside the mall
The owners of Plaza România mall of Drumul Taberei Bucharest
district have vacated an area of almost 7,000 square metres inside
the mall to make room for a "children's hypermarket" to be
positioned on the first and second floors of the project, in the
extension finalised last spring.
"A two-floor family and children concept will be opened in Plaza
next year, operated by a Greek company that rented a space of
almost 7,000 square metres," real estate market sources told
ZF.
Anchor Grup, the firm owning the mall, invested 10m euros to build
the extension, in which only spaces for Leonardo footwear store,
Costa coffee shop and Mothercare, Sam, Z and Miniblu baby stores
are still operational at present.
Several tenants have been moved to other areas of the mall, while
others have closed their stores.
The space is to be handed over to the new tenant in the following
weeks, with fitting works set to last around 10 months. Anchor Grup
representatives did not comment on the information.
