Patio and restaurant renovation may add 1m euros to Hilton's revenues
Canadian-born Linda Griffin, 45, who took over the reins of five-star Athenee Palace Hilton hotel of Bucharest this month, expects revenues generated by the patio, the bar and the two restaurants part of the hotel to rise by 10% next year, which would translate into an extra around 1m euros for the hotel owned by businessman George Copos.
"In principle, we will not modify the hotel's development
strategy. We'll keep prices at the current level and try to boost
its food & beverage revenues by 10% next year, in the wake of
patio refurbishment and the opening of Café Athenee. At the same
time, we plan to increase the occupancy rate," stated Linda
Griffin, with a 21 years' experience in Hilton Worldwide.
She specified accommodation services generate 60% of the hotel's
turnover, while the restaurants and the patio bring 40% of
revenues.
Hilton yesterday opened Café Athenee restaurant in the space
previously filled by Le Bistrot restaurant in the wake of 2m-euro
investments.
