Brinel, a group of IT&C companies controlled by Cluj businessman Marcel Borodi, expects this year's turnover to go back to the 2007 level, when the group's total turnover revolved around 25m euros.

Brinel officials declined providing additional information about the group's 2009 total turnover, mentioning that in 2009, because of recession, there was a significant turnover decline against the previous year.
The biggest company of the group, Net Brinel, ended 2009 with turnover worth around 39.5m RON (9.4m euros), significantly down from 2008, when sales of around 93.8m RON (22.3m euros) were registered, according to Finance Ministry data. The entire Brinel group's turnover reached some 28m euros in 2008.
"2010 is certainly a better year than 2009, given that Brinel's turnover after the first nine months is 70% higher than a year ago. Nevertheless, at present we can see no clear reasons why the market should pick up and we expect at least another 12 months of deep recession", Marcel Borodi, chairman of Brinel group, told ZF Transilvania.
