Coca-Cola set to resume expansion on new market segments in 2012
Coca-Cola's tackling of new product categories may be possible after the non-alcoholic drinks market returns to growth, namely starting 2012, according to the company's new manager, Evguenia Stoichkova.
The Bulgarian manager sees domestic consumption stabilise next
year and maintains the large gaps to the European average are still
giving Romania hopes it will remain among the most dynamic emerging
markets for the US giant.
The 41-year old manager is coordinating a team of around 30 people
in Romania, whose task is to controlling everything that happens
with Coca-Cola brands on the market and of seizing new portfolio
expansion opportunities.
Stoichkova says that on short term the market is not attractive for
new product category launches. On long term, though, products that
are highly popular in Western Europe or in the US will gain a
foothold on the Romanian market as well, according to Coca-Cola
manager.
