Nine years after establishing security software producer Bitdefender, Romanian Florin Talpeş, majority shareholder of the company, has recruited an expat to the top management team, to coordinate sales, marketing, and customer relations operations worldwide. Whilst so far multinationals, especially those in IT, were recruiting Romanians for management positions, now a local company is in the position of recruiting people from Microsoft. Charles Enrique Arizmendi, a graduate of the Harvard School of Business who has worked at the world's biggest software producer for the last 16 years, will be chief operating officer of Bitdefender, a company with a 2% share of the world's security software market, an industry estimated at 15 billion dollars last year.
