Managers lose money when they do not know their employees

Almost one third of employers say they will slash budgets earmarked for employee training and development programmes next year, while over 45% of them plan to keep them at this year's level, reveals a recent survey by BDO Romania audit and consulting services company, carried out among 450 companies in eight countries, 140 of which operating in Romania.

However, the managers who do not know their employees and do not know what training programmes they should send them to risk seeing their productivity and implicitly their turnover decline.

HR consultants say most HR practices in a company should be the direct manager's responsibility, and not that of HR managers and this is why it is important they know the typology of the employees they work with.

Training service providers have developed a lot of instruments helping employers find out what type of employees they work with and identify the best team forging formula, depending on each employee's behaviour and way of thinking.
