Intel to develop software for smartphones and smart TVs in Bucharest
American IT giant Intel, with 35 billion-dollar annual revenues, will invest several million euros in opening the research and development centre in Bucharest, which will mainly be involved in developing software for smart mobile phones, TVs and cars.
"The Intel Software research and development centre in Romania
will initially hire around 25 professionals specialising in
software research and development, with their number to rise three
or four-fold over time, as the projects diversify," said company
officials. "Intel Romania Software Development Center will focus on
developing software solutions necessary for creating the best
experience for users on a large range of smart devices based on
Intel architecture, including smartphones and other equipment for
general use, such as smart TVs and in-vehicle infotainment
systems."
