PepsiCo takes big step in merger with Lay's chips producer: joint management team
American company PepsiCo, which holds the Pepsi bottler and Star
Foods, the producer of Lay's chips on the Romanian market, has put
together one management team for the two divisions, with four new
executives appointed in the last two months.
The changes come as the local Pepsi bottler and the Lay's chips
producer integrated their Romanian operations after an
international deal in which PepsiCo took over Pepsi Americas.
PepsiCo had held Star Foods since back in 2004 and became the Pepsi
bottler in Romania in the same year.
As a result, the two divisions have a joint management team, with
some of the managers coming from Star Foods Romania.
"Anda Drilea, the new HR director, was HR director of Star Foods
Romania, prior to the merger (...)," PepsiCo representatives told
ZF.
Another manager coming from Star Foods is Michalis Orfanoudakis,
former CFO of the chips producer, currently CFO of PepsiCo
Romania.
"Starting October, the new marketing director of PepsiCo Romania is
Manos Spanos, who previously ran the marketing department of PBG
Greece, PepsiCo's bottler in Greece," added PepsiCo
representatives, who also said the company's new Sales Director was
Tunc Grencoglu, with 12 years' experience in the American company's
international structures.
