Roman Yazbeck leaves helm of Philip Morris Romania
Less than one year after being appointed at the helm of cigarette producer Philip Morris Romania and Bulgaria, Roman Yazbeck, 41, was promoted as vice-president of the Russia division of the cigarette producer, which employs over 3,500, has two plants, and nearly 100 sales offices.
Yazbeck will be replaced by Russian-born Sergey Slipchenko, who
has been working for Philip Morris for 17 years, where he started
as a merchandiser.
Philip Morris Trading posted an over 521 million-euro turnover last
year, 15 million euros less than in 2008, and a 22.7 million-euro
gross profit compared with 4.3 million euros a year before,
according to Trade Registry data, with the group being the
third-largest player on the Romanian cigarette market, after
British American Tobacco.
