H&M to hire 300 Romanians by yearend
Swedish giant H&M (Hennes & Mauritz), one of the world's biggest clothing retailers, will hire 300 staff by the end of the year, to add to the existing 100-employee team, who largely fill middle-management positions.
"By the beginning of this year, we had recruited around 100
employees in Romania. In 2011 we intend our recruitments to match
our expansion plans, with the number of new employees depending on
the number of stores we will open. What we can say at the moment is
that we intend to recruit at least another 300 employees by the end
of the year," said H&M representatives.
The new employees will be sent for training to Poland and
Switzerland, with benefits including voluntary private pensions.
Net salaries of sales assistants in such retail stores range
between 1,200 and 1,400 RON, according to market information.
Retailers such as C&A and Zara have between 25 and 45 employees
per each store of over 1,000 square metres.
