Fan Courier delivery services provider, one of the biggest Romanian-held couriers, owned by Romanian entrepreneurs Felix Pătraşcanu, Adrian and Neculai Mihai, ended last year with turnover worth 189.7m RON (around 45m euros), up 13% in RON year-on-year, according to the company's representatives.
"We've hit our targets as regards revenues, but we couldn't reach the set profit margin because of the rising fuel prices, which account for almost 30% in the company's expenses," stated Adrian Mihai, the youngest shareholder in the courier, who also is also the business development director of the company.
"Last year, we sealed a lot of contracts even with clients for which we had to deliver just five envelopes per month. We signed between 200-300 new contracts per month, much more than in the years of economic growth, but the value of contracts was lower," stated Mihai, who explained that turnover growth came from the broader client portfolio.
