P&G boosts Internet and social network promotion budget
Procter&Gamble, a major advertising investor in
Romania and leader of the non-food consumer goods market, is set to
boost its budgets for promotion on the Internet and social networks
(Facebook, Twitter) this year, but did not provide any details on
the earmarked sums.
The company does not provide any data on the total promotion budget
or its 2011 trend against 2010, either, but says it has adjusted to
market tendencies, considering that as rising number of Romanians
are using the Internet and social networks.
"The budget is structured along various communication channels,
following consumer trends and preferences, with a percentage growth
in earmarked sums for new media channels preferred by consumers:
Internet, social networks," says Ramona Brad, external relations
associate director with P&G Romania.
According to some market sources, P&G is also the biggest
investor in TV advertising at the start of this year, with the
number of ads doubling in the first weeks of January 2011 against
the same period of last year.
