Sweden's H&M brought employees from Switzerland, Sweden and Poland in the first two stores it opened in Romania, even though it also sent Romanian employees for training in these countries.

H&M representatives chose not to specify the number of Romanians and foreigners working in the stores of Unirea Shopping Center and AFI Palace Cotroceni. The two stores have 140 employees together.

"Each time we open stores in a new country we ask for the help of colleagues in countries with already established stores, to be sure H&M information and values are easily conveyed. This is also the reason why most of the people we've hired in recent months benefitted from a training period in Switzerland, Sweden or Poland," said Laura Sinca, marketing and PR manager with H&M.

She added she did not know whether foreigners would be brought in the stores due to be opened, but "I hope we will work mainly with Romanian employees in the next stores we'll open in Romania".
