The new Labour Code limits to 10 working days the uninterrupted leave that employees can ask for. Until now, employees could ask for at least 15 working days' uninterrupted leave. Employees who want to take 15 days' uninterrupted leave without risking to be refused by the employer, have 27 days left to submit their applications for leave, with the new Labour Code entering into force on April 30th.

What are the main concerns of HR managers as of April 30th, however? To inform the management and the employees about the new modifications brought to the labour legislation, as well as to include criteria and procedures of professional evaluation of employees in the company's internal regulations should be the first concerns of HR managers on April 30th. Employee evaluation and performance criteria also need to be included in the job description of each employee, unless previously included.
