35 year-old Romanian in Renault’s commercial team
7 feb 2010
Mihai Bordeanu, 35, former regional manager of premium brand
Lexus, has become part of the management team of the Romanian
Commercial Division of the Renault group as of January 1st, a group
that controls sales of Dacia, Renault, and Nissan, which amount to
almost 500 billion euros.
Bordeanu is one of the few Romanians to
be recruited by the French group for its management team. Liviu
Ion, communication manager of Renault, says Bordeanu will answer to
Fabrice Cambolive, commercial manager of Renault Romania.
According to market sources, Mihai Bordeanu will in the course
of this year replace Rafael Treguer, the current marketing manager
of Dacia and Renault, with the information yet to be confirmed by
company officials. The marketing manager handles two brands with a
35% market share, with this year's big challenge for the entire
department being the launch and promotion of the Duster SUV.
Bordeanu's appointment is the third change at management level
recorded in the last year, after Cambolive came to the helm of the
Commercial Department, and after Jerome Olive replaced Francois
Fourmont as general manager of the Renault Group Romania, which
includes Automobile Dacia, as well as the importer of Renault and
Nissan brands.
