The number of Romanians working for Microsoft's subsidiaries inthe US, Ireland and Denmark is double the number of employees ofthe world's biggest software company in Romania. The trend willcontinue, considering that Microsoft currently has four ads forsoftware developer jobs at the Dublin centre on job recruitmentwebsites.
"In all, there are around 620-630 Romanians working in Microsoftcentres in these countries, the bulk of whom (more than 500) workin the US. In general, the profiles of those who want to relocateare stricter than those of employees sought by Microsoft Romania,in that they have to have three or four years' experience of usinga certain technology," Cosmin Bordea, Country HR Lead of MicrosoftRomania, which last year had 300 employees on the Romanian market,told ZF.
These are the first official figures as to the number ofRomanians working for Microsoft abroad.
Soon, the number of Romanians working for Microsoft will reach1,000, with the company set to recruit another 50 employees on theRomanian market in the first half of this year.
