Several representatives of H&M (Hennes & Mauritz), one of the world's largest clothing retailers and one of the most popular on the middle segment, are currently having meetings in Bucharest and in other Romanian cities with shopping centre owners to collect information in view of a potential entry on the Romanian market. "H&M representatives are collecting data on the level of rent, shopping centre sales and available space. They will draw up a report, which will be presented to the management in February next year. Up until then, no decision will be made as to a potential entry onto the Romanian market," real estate market sources told ZF. Among the projects targeted by H&M is the Sun Plaza mall, set to open in the first part of next year, but representatives of the EMCT, the developer of the project would not comment on the information.
