Mihai Tudor climbs up IBM's corporate ladder

Mihai Tudor, 50, who had been running the domestic subsidiary ofUS IBM giant since July 2006, has been appointed general manager ofthe world's biggest provider of IT services for SE Europe. He willbe in charge of the overall business in five countries, namelyBulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.


During Tudor's term with IBM Romania, the company's turnoverwent up from 39m euros in 2006, to 51m euros in 2009, and thesubsidiary's number of employees more than doubled, to over 500people. Moreover, IBM strongly developed its outsourcing and ITservices centres, a unit where another over 1,000 people work atpresent, particularly for Western European clients. Also, IBM lastyear operated another major investment in Romania, taking over theoperation of Petrom's data centre.
Mihai Tudor has been working for IBM since 1993, a period duringwhich he filled several positions, inclusively outsideRomania.
IBM's new CEO is Bogdan Balaci, who has worked with the IT servicesprovider since 1999 and who filled the sales manager position.
