More and more new apartments on the list of home rentals

Prices per square metre, of between 6 and 9 euros, are at the same level with that of old apartments of Bucharest, built ahead of the '90s, with old sanitary installations and furniture.
In new blocks, though, areas are much bigger compared with most apartments built during communism, namely of above 100 square metres in three-room apartments and over 75 square metres in two-room ones.
Thus, a monthly rent tops 800 euros per month for a three-room apartment in a new block. Real estate analysts say that at least for the moment rents of new apartments are a very good opportunity for people with above-average incomes, better than in the case of an old apartment.
Real estate consultants say it is only natural that apartments built in 2008 or 2009 should be competitive amid the current market context.
"(...) Large apartments in new housing projects are profitable now, but they are only a temporary opportunity. It is not certain how much longer we will see such offers," says Valentin Ilie, CEO with Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Romania real estate consultancy.
