Less than one year after being appointed at the helm ofcigarette producer Philip Morris Romania and Bulgaria, RomanYazbeck, 41, was promoted as vice-president of the Russia divisionof the cigarette producer, which employs over 3,500, has twoplants, and nearly 100 sales offices.
Yazbeck will be replaced by Russian-born Sergey Slipchenko, whohas been working for Philip Morris for 17 years, where he startedas a merchandiser.
Philip Morris Trading posted an over 521 million-euro turnover lastyear, 15 million euros less than in 2008, and a 22.7 million-eurogross profit compared with 4.3 million euros a year before,according to Trade Registry data, with the group being thethird-largest player on the Romanian cigarette market, afterBritish American Tobacco.
