Orkla pays 2.1m euros for Royal Brinkers' distribution arm

Orkla Foods Romania took over the distribution
arm of Royal Brinkers Romania, a producer of margarine, for 2.1 million euros, acquiring 51 percent of the company's share capital. Orkla Foods Romania and its parent company from Norway, Orkla Foods AS, took over Royal Brinkers Romania for 18.4 million euros in a deal that was concluded last December. In the wake of the deal, Orkla Foods Romania has come to own 99.9% of capital of Royal Brinkers Romania, while Orkla Foods AS controls 0.01 percent of its stock. Orkla Foods Romania also took over the distribution firm of the margarine producer, Royal Brinkers Distribution, acquiring a 51% stake in the company's stock from the RBH International firm, registered in the Netherlands. As a result, Orkla Foods Romania became the majority stakeholder of the distribution firm, while Royal Brinkers Romania has a 49% participation.
