Automatica steps into the black

Industrial electrical distribution and control equipment manufacturer Automatica Bucharest made 0.48 million euros in profit during the first six months of this year, compared with the 0.47 million euro losses last year. Automatica's half-year turnover stood at 2.6 million euros, twice higher than in the corresponding period of last year. Operating revenues witnessed growth from 1.5 million euros between January-July 2003 to 3.3 million euros in the similar period of 2004. Its core business in 2004 included the design, manufacture and sale of products for the electronics industry.
