Maschio Gaspardo expands facility

Farming equipment producer Maschio Gaspardi Romania, a branch of leading global manufacturer Maschio Gaspardi Italy, has invested 1.4 million euros in doubling the production space of their factory in Chisineu Cris, Arad County. "We purchased some land and expanded the production facility from 3,000 sqm to 7,000 sqm, because we began producing new models," says Mirco Maschio, Maschio Gaspardo Romania administrator, and one of the sons of the group's Italian owner. Mirco added that the first shipment of farming equipment should leave for Russia soon, but did not specify how much the company expected to sell on the Russian market. Maschio Gaspardo Romania sold 2 million euros of products in the first nine months last year and began direct operations in Romania in April 2003. ZF< /P>
