Luminarc wants Romanian glass

French glassware company Arc International, producer of the Luminarc glassware, is looking to take over Fabrica de Sticla Avrig (Avrig Glass Plant) through an investment vehicle registered in Romania. The takeover offer is expected to exceed two million dollars. The investment vehicle is called Soare Glass Invest, which is 99% controlled by JD Durand Industries, Arc's high-end glassware division, and by Vois Glass, a company registered in Great Britain.
