ExxonMobile, the largest oil corporation in the world, has been included on the list of suppliers for the retooling works now run by LukOil at the Petrotel Ploiesti refinery, the management of the refinery says. The $97 million investment project aimed at upgrading and reopening the Petrotel refinery for business is ongoing and the first equipment purchase contracts to be filled in eight to ten months have already been signed. This project might also get funds from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank's investment arm. "Advance payments worth $12-$15 million have already been made for licensing contracts, furniture and equipment for the refinery. The suppliers include ExxonMobile (US), Linde (Germany) and Pachinox (France). Exx onMobile also provides equipment for certain installations, while Linde supplies machinery for a hydrogen plant," Dumitru Constantin, Petrotel general manager told Ziarul Financiar. LukOil's plan to retool the refinery in Romania is a good business opportunity for the equipment suppliers in the oil industry. ZF
