$35m sales for McDonald's Romania

McDonald's Romania last year posted turnover worth 35 million dollars, up 10% as compared to 2001, said Cristian Savu, the company's spokesperson. "We can expect operating profits this year. In 2002, just as in the past seven years, the company recorded negative financial results, but closer to zero than in the last years," Savu added. Company officials deem 2002 as the best year since the company's entry in Romania, as other McDonald's subsidiaries only grew 1-2%. ZF
