Aviva reports 62% growth

Life insurance company Aviva closed last year with underwritten premiums worth 13.5 million euros (almost 49 million RON), 62% more than in 2004. The company did not reveal its profit figures for 2005. In 2004, Aviva reported losses standing at over 2.2 million euros (8.97 million RON). The company launched on Wednesday two life insurance products covering the financial risk associated with death, with the loss of the ability to work after suffering an accident or with permanent or temporary disability. The first product is called Complet and covers financial losses caused by death of the insured or by temporary or permanent disability. At the request of the insured, this policy can be turned into an investment product. The minimum annual premium for this product is of 60 RON and can be paid in RON, dollars or euros. The second product launched by Aviva is called Esential and it covers the financial risk associated with death or with the insured party''s loss of ability to work as a result of an accident. ZF
