Elba invests for Logan

Timisoara-based company Elba has begun an additional investment programme worth one million euros to modernise the manufacturing of car lights, due to an increase in demand for such components for the Dacia Logan model, as well as for some brands of foreign manufacturers. "Elba and Automobile Dacia have concluded a partnership regarding the supply of a specific number of lighting units. The large number of orders for the Logan model resulted in a higher demand. Therefore at the end of October the company''s shareholders decided to expand the investment programme by another one million euros. We hope to complete the investment in the first half of 2006," stated Elba''s commercial manager Alexandru Sere. He added the improvement works would be self-funded by the company. Elb a anticipates turnover for 2005 to stand at 27.5 million euros, compared with 23.6 million euros last year. ZF
