Bramac targets 20% market share by 2009

Bramac Sisteme de Invelitori (Bramac Roofing Systems), the local branch of Austrian group Bramac, intends to reach a 20% share of the tile market in the next two years. The company currently holds a 15% share on the market. "Last year, we operated a symbolic rise in the price of products, by just 2-2.5%, because our strategy in the next two years, is to reach a 20% market share. We will continue our policy of maintaining the same prices for the next few years as well," Mircea Dumitru, sales and marketing manager of Bramac Sisteme de Invelitori, told ZF. Therefore the company's commercial policy allowed sales to increase 80%, to around 14 million euros, at a rate 4 times higher than initially estimated. The company launched the Donau tile last year, in the standard tile segment, and managed to gain a 30% share in sales within the first year. "Th is year, we have launched a new tile in the standard range, Reviva. The tile is designed for use in building renovation projects, which are expected to see a strong growth in the next few years (...)," Dumitru says.
