La Fantana expects 12m-euro sales

La Fantana, a Romanian company that produces still mineral water for water cooler systems, last year posted domestic sales worth approximately 12 million euros with a 9% profit margin, according to La Fantana SRL. Therefore, last year the company tripled its profit against 2005, when it reported a net profit worth 0.37 million euros, according to information on the site of the Finance Ministry. La Fantana's turnover increased 35% in the same period. "Last year's sales stood at 15.2 million euros in Romania and Serbia, due to the increase in the number of clients on both markets where our company is present," stated Cristian Amza, general manager of La Fantana. Last year, the company completed a 2.5 million-euro investment in a new plant that bottles water for water cooler systems, located in Talmaciu (Sibiu county). Amz a estimates sales of 19 million euros for this year, both on the domestic and Serbian market, 25% higher than in 2006.
