Daw Benta expects 21m euros from varnishes and paints

The producer of paint and varnish, Daw Benta, based in Mures county, estimates a 21 million-euro turnover this year, an approximately 30% increase against last year, when the company saw a 14.7 million-euro turnover. "The increase in turnover will be sustained by investments started in 2006, particularly by the enlargement of our paint, plaster, adhesives and polystyrene production capacity. The construction material market is continually growing, both due to the development of the real estate market (the construction of districts of blocks of flats and houses), as well as the expansion of DIY store networks and the entry of new store networks onto the market," Simona Marginean, the company's manager, told ZF TRANSILVANIA. The company has budgeted some 2.5 million euros for investments this year in order to open new Caparol showrooms around the country and complete the investment in the logistical centre in Bucharest.
