Chimtitan invests 4m euros in paint facility

Bucharest-based paint producer Chimtitan, which specialises in products for the industrial sector, will invest 4 million euros to launch a new production facility in Fundulea, near Bucharest, which will triple its production capacity. "We acquired the land in spring, and managed to secure the necessary permits for construction. The plant will start production at the beginning of 2009, which will enable us to boost the volume of decorative products in our portfolio," said Silviu Filipoi, Chimtitan's marketing manager. The production facility will cover a surface area of 25,000 square metres and triple the company's current production capacity. "At present, the annual production capacity stands at 3,200 tonnes, but after the opening of the plant in Fundulea, we will be able to produce 10,000 tonnes," added Filipoi.
